CampaignKit uses the HubSpot API and WebHooks to communicate with your HubSpot account. It's possible to connect multiple HubSpot accounts.

When connecting CampaignKit with HubSpot CRM, CampaignKit creates two additional contact attributes. Those attributes are used to store CampaignKit's validation results:

• CampaignKit Email Class: Valid, Invalid or Risky
• CampaignKit Email Score: 0 - 10

CampaignKit never removes or modifies data in your HubSpot account. Validation results are stored in the attributes, which can be used to filter your contacts.

Simple Setup Process

It takes a few simple steps to get started. In CampaignKit, navigate to New Integration and select HubSpot.

CampaignKit starts the authorization flow. You'll be redirected to HubSpot's consent screen, where you approve and gant access to your account.

Your accounts are now connected. New and updated contacts will be validated automatically from now on. To bulk validate your existing contacts use the CampaignKit App to start the bulk validation process.

What Data We Access

• Contact Email Addresses: We access email addresses from your HubSpot contacts to perform validation
• Contact Properties: We read and write to the custom properties "CampaignKit Email Class" and "CampaignKit Email Score"
• Webhook Events: We receive notifications when contacts are created or updated

How We Process Your Data

• Validation Only: Email addresses are validated against our database of disposable domains, spam traps, and SMTP verification
• No Third-Party Sharing: Your HubSpot contact data is never shared with third parties
• Secure Storage: Validation logs are encrypted and retained for 90 days for service quality purposes
• Automatic Deletion: When you disconnect the integration, all stored contact data is deleted within 30 days

Your Responsibilities as Data Controller

• Ensure you have a lawful basis (consent, legitimate interest, contract) to process contact email addresses
• Provide appropriate privacy notices to your contacts about data processing activities
• Handle data subject rights requests (access, deletion, rectification) from your contacts
• Review and accept our Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
