FluentCRM Email Validation Plugin

CampaignKit has a WordPress plugin for FluentCRM email validation: it validates your new and existing FluentCRM contacts and tags the ones with invalid email addresses. Every new account gets 200 free validations, so you can try it on your own list.

The CampaignKit plugin brings FluentCRM email verification into your WordPress site. Install it in WordPress, add your API key and pick a tag, and contacts with invalid email addresses get that tag, so you can spot them before your next campaign.

What the plugin does

The CampaignKit plugin is a native WordPress plugin for FluentCRM email validation. It runs in your WordPress site and validates your FluentCRM contacts with your CampaignKit API key. It's a direct FluentCRM email verification integration, not a Zapier, n8n or WP Webhooks connector. There is no third automation tool in the middle. When a contact has an invalid email address, the plugin adds a tag of your choice to it.

What you can do with it

  • Spot invalid addresses before a campaign. Tagged contacts are easy to find in FluentCRM, and the tag is there for you to act on before you send.
  • Catch bad addresses as they come in. Contacts you add by hand or import are validated automatically.
  • Clean the list you already have. One button validates all your existing contacts.
  • Cut avoidable bounces. Knowing which addresses are invalid lets you leave them out of a send instead of finding out from the bounce report.

Validate new contacts

Once the plugin is configured, it validates each new contact FluentCRM creates. That covers contacts you add manually and contacts you bring in with FluentCRM's import function. Contacts with an invalid email address get the tag you selected in the plugin settings.

Check the contacts you already have

To validate the contacts already in FluentCRM, open the plugin's settings and click Validate all contacts. The validation runs in the background, and contacts with invalid addresses get your tag.

Set up the plugin

Setup takes five steps in WordPress and CampaignKit:

  1. Download the plugin. Get the ZIP file from the latest release on GitHub.
  2. Install it in WordPress. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, choose the ZIP file and click Activate Plugin.
  3. Create an API key. In the CampaignKit app, go to Profile, and in the API Keys section click Add API Key.
  4. Configure the plugin. In WordPress, open Settings > General and scroll to the CampaignKit section. Add your API key and choose the tag for contacts with invalid addresses. If you don't have a tag yet, create one first under FluentCRM > Contacts.
  5. Done. New contacts are now validated automatically. Use Validate all contacts for the ones you already have.

Note: the plugin doesn't validate anything until the configuration is complete, so add both the API key and the tag.

For screenshots of each step, follow the FluentCRM setup guide in our docs. The original FluentCRM plugin walkthrough on our blog covers the same install.

What you see afterwards

Contacts with an invalid email address carry your tag in FluentCRM, under whatever name you gave it, such as "Email invalid". The plugin adds only that tag and writes no scores or other fields. What you do with tagged contacts is up to you.

How it compares

You can also validate FluentCRM contacts through a connector workflow or check addresses at the form. As of October 2026, from each project's page:

What it is A WordPress plugin for FluentCRM A third tool (WP Webhooks or Integrately) between FluentCRM and the verifier A WordPress plugin for Fluent Forms
What you need A CampaignKit API key Integrately: a no-code connector between FluentCRM and a verifier. WP Webhooks: WP Webhooks installed and activated, plus Email List Verify set up Fluent Forms, WordPress 6.0+ and PHP 8.0+
When addresses are checked New contacts (manual adds and imports) and existing contacts When the workflow runs, for example when a contact is added to a list in WP Webhooks At form submission, before the entry is saved

A connector suits you if you already run Integrately or WP Webhooks for other workflows; Integrately offers a free plan and a trial. A form-level check and a contact-list check cover different moments: one stops bad addresses at the form, the other checks the contacts that are already in FluentCRM, including imports. You can use both. Check each project's page for current details.
