Best Email Verification Tools in 2026

email validationBest Email Verification Tools in 2026

The best email verification tools in 2026 differ less on what they check than on what they cost, whether your credits expire, and where your list is processed. This page compares nine of them on exactly those points, with every price and claim linked to the vendor's own page and dated.

Short answer: if you want the best email verification service for small and mid-sized lists on a pay-as-you-go basis, compare CampaignKit and MillionVerifier first. If you verify a million addresses at a time, Bouncer and Kickbox publish rates for that volume; we quote it individually. The details, and the cases where another tool is the better fit, are below. (Looking for the best email verifier for a specific workflow? The "How to pick" section at the end sorts the email address verification tools here by use case.)

How we chose

Email verification tools check whether an address can receive mail — syntax, domain, MX records and the mailbox itself — so you can remove bad addresses before you send. (Our guide on how to check if an email is valid explains each check.) Most do the same core checks, so the best email verifier for you comes down to other factors. We compared them on the things that change your bill and your paperwork:

  • Price per 1,000 on pay-as-you-go (PAYG) credits, at the smallest tier the vendor publishes.
  • Free credits to test with before paying.
  • Credit expiry: whether unused credits run out.
  • Accuracy claim: what the vendor says, marked "vendor-reported". We haven't run our own accuracy test, so we don't rank tools by accuracy.
  • API and integrations.
  • Data location: where the vendor says your list is processed.

Disclosure: CampaignKit is our own product. It's listed first because it has the lowest entry-tier pay-as-you-go rate of the tools that publish one ($2.40 per 1,000) and it states where data is processed — not because it's ours. It has cons too, listed with the rest. Competitor prices are as of September 2026; check each linked pricing page before you buy, because they change.

CampaignKit figures from our pricing page and security page. Competitor figures from each vendor's pricing page, checked 2026-09-24 (links in each section below). "Not stated" means the vendor's pricing page didn't say, not that the answer is no.

CampaignKit

CampaignKit is our email validation and deliverability platform: bulk list cleaning by CSV upload, a real-time API, and integrations for no-code tools.

Best for: teams verifying from a few thousand up to 100,000 addresses at a time who want PAYG credits and EU processing.

Pricing: pay-as-you-go from $6 for 2,500 emails ($2.40 per 1,000), down to $120 for 100,000 ($1.20 per 1,000). No subscription, and credits never expire. New accounts get 200 free validations with no credit card. See CampaignKit pricing.

Accuracy: CampaignKit claims 99.6% accuracy. That's our own figure, not an independent test.

What you get back: every address gets a score from 0 to 10 plus a result code such as mailbox, disposable or catchAll, so you can set your own sending threshold instead of accepting a yes/no verdict.

Integrations: validate emails in Zapier, n8n, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Mailjet, FluentCRM, and Claude via MCP.

Data location: processing runs on Hetzner servers in Germany. Our DPA lists the subprocessors and covers transfers outside the EU, so we don't describe it as EU-only.

Pros:

  • Lowest entry-tier pay-as-you-go rate of the tools here that publish one ($6 for 2,500).
  • Cheaper than MillionVerifier at 50,000 emails ($75 against $89).
  • Credits never expire and there's no subscription.
  • Stated processing location in Germany.

Cons:

  • No list price above 100,000 emails; larger volumes need a custom quote.
  • Fewer free credits than Emailable (200 vs 250).
  • The accuracy figure is vendor-reported, like everyone else's here.

Bouncer

Bouncer is a PAYG email verification tool whose per-1,000 price drops sharply with volume.

Best for: very large one-off cleans, where its 1M-tier rate applies.

Pricing (as of September 2026): from $8 per 1,000, down to $2 per 1,000 at 1 million. 100 free credits, and credits never expire. Source: Bouncer pricing.

Pros:

  • $2 per 1,000 at 1M is one of the lowest published high-volume rates here.
  • Credits never expire.

Cons:

  • $8 per 1,000 at the entry tier is more than three times CampaignKit's entry rate.
  • No accuracy figure or data location on the pricing page we checked.

ZeroBounce

ZeroBounce sells validation credits alongside its ZeroBounce One subscription and runs a monthly free tier.

Best for: teams that already pay for a ZeroBounce One subscription.

Pricing (as of September 2026): from $39 for 2,000 validations (about $19.50 per 1,000). 100 free credits every month if you sign up with a business domain. Credits never expire while a ZeroBounce One subscription is active. Source: ZeroBounce pricing. The PAYG rate drops with volume; our ZeroBounce pricing breakdown has every tier and what common list sizes cost.

Accuracy: ZeroBounce claims 99.6% validation accuracy (vendor-reported).

Pros:

  • Free credits renew monthly instead of being a one-time allowance.
  • Publishes an accuracy claim on its pricing page.

Cons:

  • Highest per-1,000 entry rate in this comparison.
  • Credit non-expiry depends on keeping a subscription active.

NeverBounce

NeverBounce offers both PAYG credits and a monthly plan.

Best for: teams that verify regularly enough to use credits within a year, or that want a monthly plan.

Pricing (as of October 2026): PAYG $8 per 1,000 credits; the Growth plan is $49/month for up to 10,000. Free test credits, with no card needed for your first list. Source: NeverBounce pricing, checked 2026-10-03. The PAYG rate drops with volume; our NeverBounce pricing breakdown has every tier and what common list sizes cost.

Pros:

  • Choice between PAYG and a monthly plan.
  • You can test on a first list without a card.

Cons:

  • PAYG credits expire after 12 months, which matters if you only clean lists once or twice a year.
  • $8 per 1,000 at the PAYG rate.

For a head-to-head, see our NeverBounce alternative comparison.

Clearout

Clearout is a verification tool with a free starter allowance and non-expiring credits.

Best for: teams that want to test with free credits and are happy to get a quote or check pricing in the app.

Pricing (as of September 2026): 100 free credits, and credits never expire. The PAYG per-credit price isn't published on the pricing page. Source: Clearout pricing.

Accuracy: Clearout claims 99.73% accuracy (vendor-reported).

Pros:

  • Credits never expire.
  • 100 free credits to test with.

Cons:

  • No published PAYG price, so you can't compare cost per 1,000 up front.

Emailable

Emailable is a PAYG email verification tool with the largest free allowance in this list.

Best for: testing on a slightly bigger sample before paying.

Pricing (as of September 2026): $0.0076 per credit ($7.60 per 1,000) PAYG. 250 free credits, and credits never expire. Source: Emailable pricing.

Pros:

  • 250 free credits, the most of any tool here.
  • Credits never expire.

Cons:

  • $7.60 per 1,000 is roughly three times CampaignKit's entry rate.
  • No accuracy figure or data location on the pricing page we checked.

Kickbox

Kickbox sells verification in fixed credit packs and refunds unknown results.

Best for: teams that want unknown results refunded rather than charged.

Pricing (as of September 2026): $10 for 1,000, $40 for 5,000, $70 for 10,000, down to $2,999 for 1 million (about $3 per 1,000). 100 free verifications. Unknown results are refunded. Source: Kickbox pricing.

Pros:

  • Refunds on unknown results, so you don't pay for addresses it can't resolve.
  • Rate drops to about $3 per 1,000 at 1 million.

Cons:

  • $10 per 1,000 at the smallest pack, the second-highest entry rate here.
  • Credit expiry isn't stated on the pricing page.

Hunter

Hunter sells verification as part of a monthly credit plan rather than as PAYG credits.

Best for: teams that already have a Hunter plan and verify a steady monthly volume. Looking for a Hunter.io alternative for finding emails? See our Hunter.io alternative comparison.

Pricing (as of September 2026): a free tier with 50 credits per month; Starter is €34/month for 2,000 credits. One verification uses 0.5 credit, so 2,000 credits cover 4,000 verifications (about €8.50 per 1,000). Source: Hunter pricing.

Pros:

  • Monthly free tier (50 credits, or 100 verifications).
  • Predictable monthly cost if you verify every month.

Cons:

  • Subscription only; no PAYG option on the pricing page.
  • Credit expiry and accuracy aren't stated there.

MillionVerifier

MillionVerifier is a low-cost bulk verifier with non-expiring credits.

Best for: large bulk cleans on a budget.

Pricing (as of September 2026): about $0.00178 per credit ($1.78 per 1,000) at the 50,000-email tier ($89). 100 free credits with no card, and credits never expire. Source: MillionVerifier.

Accuracy: MillionVerifier claims 99%+ accuracy (vendor-reported).

Pros:

  • Low per-1,000 rate at volume.
  • Credits never expire, no card needed for the free credits.

Cons:

  • At 50,000 emails it costs $89 against CampaignKit's $75.

For a head-to-head, see our MillionVerifier alternative comparison.

How to pick

  • Tight budget, up to 100,000 addresses: start with the lowest published PAYG rates in the table — CampaignKit ($2.40 per 1,000 at 2,500, $1.20 at 100,000) and MillionVerifier ($1.78 at 50,000).
  • Want to test before paying: look at the free-credit column; most of these work as free email verification tools for a small first batch. Emailable (250) and CampaignKit (200) give the most one-time credits; ZeroBounce and Hunter renew a smaller allowance monthly. If deliverability is the worry rather than list quality, our free domain health check tests your SPF, DKIM and DMARC setup.
  • Bulk, one-off list cleaning: among bulk email verification tools, pick one whose credits never expire and that sells PAYG packs — CampaignKit, Bouncer, Emailable, MillionVerifier or Clearout. NeverBounce PAYG credits expire after 12 months.
  • Seven-figure volumes: Bouncer ($2 per 1,000 at 1M) and Kickbox (~$3 per 1,000 at 1M) publish rates at that tier; CampaignKit quotes above 100,000.
  • Unknown results shouldn't cost you: Kickbox refunds them.
  • You need to know where data is processed: CampaignKit states processing on Hetzner in Germany (see our security page and DPA). None of the other vendors' pricing pages we checked state a processing location, so ask them directly. This isn't legal advice; your data protection officer decides what your GDPR obligations require.
